Evacuation Seminar at University of Leicester’s Stamford Court

Evacuation Seminar at University of Leicester’s Stamford Court

TagEvac® held their fourth Evacuation Seminar at University of Leicester’s Stamford Court. Despite difficult weather conditions over 100 delegates attended including some overseas visitors. The event brought together professionals from a wide range of organisations to better understand how they can meet their evacuation needs.

The opening address was given by Neale Goff, newly appointed Health & Safety Director for the University. He set out the clarity of expectation for a large organisation and the focus on getting things right. A number of speakers gave insight into their specialisations with some thought-provoking solutions to enhance building safety and safe evacuation. None more so than the fascinating presentation by Romain Hourqueig of Studio Fahrenheit in Paris showing us why the use of dedicated lifts in Emergency Evacuation makes sense and why we should challenge default commonplace thinking.

The day also gave an excellent opportunity for the delegates to network and spend time with the exhibitors.

We received excellent feedback for the event, including a comment from Ben Salmen from HME Ltd (thank you Ben!):

‘Organisation, venue and catering were all excellent. A very warm welcome on arrival. A great day. Thank you!’
