The Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI) is a teaching hospital with close links to Bristol University and provides acute medicine and surgery, critical care, trauma, orthopaedic and accident and emergency services to the population of Bristol. It also provides the centre for cardio-thoracic services for the south west.

The BRI has been providing care since 1737.

The Training & Education Centre provides an essential resource for the development of healthcare professionals at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, part of University Hospital Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

TagEvac® has been selected to assist in the management and control of this 6-storey building which is built into the natural gradient of Marlborough Hill / Upper Maudlin Street and has two different exit levels at the front and rear of the building. To help overcome this we created two Control Points to manage evacuation effectively from the building. The upper floors report to the Control Point at the front street level and the lower floors and lower floors to the rear Control Point respectively.
