The newly constructed £24 million building opened after the Easter holiday (2013) and has provided the Academy with modern and enviable learning resources. Their aim is to become one of the best educational establishments in Birmingham offering a high-quality and inspiring education for all.
Sitting in the top 5% of schools nationally for progress and oversubscribed in Year 7, the academy is making rapid academic progress. The community and local primary schools will also have access to the outstanding facilities which include a four-court sports hall, dance, activity and rehearsal studios and a fully equipped gym and theatre. In addition to this, the community will have access to a full range of educational facilities for meetings and adult and family learning. These will be available throughout the year, including evenings and weekends.
As part of their Health & Safety provision the Academy has installed TagEvac® as an integral part of their management and control for evacuation. We have also provided public Fire Evacuation plans to compliment and enhance the overall solution.
